I am an Infrastructure Engineer and a developer, with large chunks of my background coming from working in Visual Effects, handling HPC-scale renderfarms, storage, infrastructure and core tech needed to enable a studio to work.
Currently much of my work focuses on infrastructure platforms in regulated industries in Germany, such as banking and insurance.
While I specialize in infrastructure, I’ve spent a part of my career as a developer. Problems I tackled gave me a diverse view, from the kernel to the browser.
Example work I've been involved in:
- I’ve advised startups on the Kubernetes ecosystem and helped them architect and build out their products hands-on across the stack
- Maintained bespoke petabyte-scale backup systems
- Designed and coordinated technical standards with cross-continent teams, negotiating and aligning them with each location's technical stakeholders
